Summary
The Pyramid, a famous Memphis icon, was transformed into Bass Pro’s flagship store.
Since 1991 The Memphis Pyramid served as a sports arena, concert stage, event space. Closing in 2007, the space sat empty for many years until Bass Pro owners saw the Pyramid as an opportunity to create a one-of-a-kind customer experience.
The unique shape of the 321 foot tall Pyramid, provides the building with 535,000 square feet of interior space. Duggan’s team of over 70 carpenters was part of the 200 tradesmen working daily to transform the Pyramid. Providing specialty carpentry in nearly every area of the Pyramid, Duggan’s team worked over 55,000 man hours in a 12 month period.
Duggan and Fixture Concepts craftsmen were responsible for fabricating and installing the majority of Cypress trim, fiberglass logs, roping and netting, the Berretta Gallery, Ducks Unlimited, Catfish Bar, and the Billiard Room.
Duggan is proud to have been a part of the team that breathed new life into the Memphis Pyramid, turning the inside into a true “Outdoor World.”
